by Osman Parvez

From the last Boulder Real Estate Meetup, here's a podcast of James Clarke with Facts on the Current Mortgage Market (MP3). In addition to current market conditions, he discusses what it now takes to qualify for the best rates. It's worth a listen if you're shopping for a new loan or refinancing.

  1. Hi all,

Here's an interesting one for you.

An analysis of the current economic crisis we are all unfortunately facing but looked at from a slightly different perspective.

This analysis looks at past banking crises and how they have effected various aspects of the economy.

It is titled The Banking Crisis - Where are we now? (follow the link should you be interested) and has particularly interesting points about how the previous banking crises has effected assets including property prices.

    Hope you enjoy.

  2. There are interesting things in the mortgage market. We now have Jumbo's at 6.5 % up to $4m with 25% down with a 720 credit score. Lesser score goes to underwriting for a look see. In our market we need big jumbo's. They had been missing for 6-9 months and were very high priced. The spread is still wide by historical standards, but it is a lot better. My home sales are from 1.5m and up, so jumbos lead the way for me.
