Foreclosure Update
Here's a quick update on foreclosures in our region. The predominant pattern continues.
The chart below shows the breakdown by county. The blue bars are the number of foreclosures (left axis). The yellow dots are the percentage of foreclosures by housing units (right axis). Adams County continues to be hardest hit both in absolute numbers and as a percentage. Boulder County continues to be the least affected.
Here's how Boulder County breaks down by city. The problem is concentrated in Longmont. Despite being about the same size as Boulder, Longmont has more than +5x the number of foreclosures.
As the chart below shows, foreclosure volume continues upward. This chart shows foreclosures in Boulder County beginning in April 2006. Note, the data source corrected their methodology last summer. This is the likely reason for the temporary decline.
Here's the same chart for all counties in our region.

On the foreclosure post, you mean "predominant" not "predominate". Your site is so good, I have to take the time to give you the heads-up. Keep it up!
Good catch and thank you for the compliment. What I would do for an editor!
