Google Maps: Martin Acres Pop Tops and Renovations

As you know from Dallice's last post, "Up, Up, and Away!," we're sharing the story of a project undertaken by clients (and friends). They're popping the top and substantially renovating a home in Martin Acres, a neighborhood of Boulder.

Recently, we started mapping other homes in this neighborhood that have been substantially remodeled. The Google map linked below will take you to the new Martin Acres Renovation and Poptop Map.

I'm assuming most of you are familiar with Google Maps. You can zoom in/out, view a satellite image, or a hybrid image of map and satellite. I've marked the map with blue indicators showing each project and uploaded a current photo. By clicking on each marker, you will be taken to an exterior photograph of the property.

Here's a link to the map:

If you're thinking about doing a renovation in Martin Acres or just trying to get a handle on the pattern of development in this neighborhood, you should find the map interesting. If people get value from this, perhaps I'll expand the effort to include other neighborhoods as well. I could certainly use a hand here, so if contributing to this project interests you, don't hesitate to contact me (ph:303.746.6896)

Note, some homes have more extensive renovations than others. Some are full "pop tops," some "half popped", and others have extensions added to the rear of the home. I ignored a few older cosmetic improvements, such as walling-in a car-port. If you've improved your house and don't see it linked on the map, contact me and I'll see that it's added. By the way, this is my second attempt at using Google Maps on the blog. I unveiled the Boulder Development Map a few months ago.
